Watermelon granita
Choosing cooling foods with a variety of raw foods can make a big difference in helping you to deal with the hot weather. Foods with bitter, sweet, and astringent taste are cooling.
Watermelons are very cooling so just by themselves they help to pacify pitta dosha… Ayurveda says to avoid ice cold foods but if you need a little cold treat try this recipe:
Ingredients
- 2 cups of diced watermelon in small pieces
Preparation
- Put the diced pieces in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
- Put the frozen pieces in a high-speed blender such as vitamix or nutribullet.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour in a nice glass cup or bowl and enjoy!
